The DOST–PSU ALIGWAS Technology Business Incubator (TBI) proudly marks a significant milestone as it successfully secured its Second Year of Project Implementation following a comprehensive renewal presentation held on August 14, 2025, before the Governing Council of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) at the DOST Complex in Bicutan, Taguig City.
The renewal session was presided over by esteemed national leaders and champions of innovation, including:
- DOST Undersecretary Leah J. Buendia
- DOST-PCIEERD Executive Director Dr. Enrico C. Paringit
- Members of the DOST-PCIEERD Governing Council and Research Information and Technology Transfer Division (RITTD)
During the presentation, the PSU Aligwas TBI highlighted its Year 1 accomplishments, including the incubation of early-stage startups, implementation of capacity-building programs, establishment of industry linkages, and rollout of its banner initiative on Sustainable Food System Solutions. The council deliberated on the program’s strategic relevance to national priorities, particularly in advancing science-based innovations for food security and regional development.
The successful renewal would not have been possible without the unwavering support of key institutional leaders and partners, to whom the TBI extends its deepest gratitude:
- DOST Philippines, DOST-PCIEERD, and RITTD — for their continued trust and commitment to sustaining innovation ecosystems in the regions
- Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University President of Pangasinan State University (PSU)

- The TBI Core Members and Administrative Staff of PSU Aligwas

- Industry partners, startup mentors, and incubatees, whose active collaboration has been instrumental in the program’s impact and growth
