The Training for Mentors Batch 2 was held on September 3, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM via Zoom, with the goal of capacitating mentors to effectively guide MSMEs and start-ups under the Aligwas Technology Business Incubator (TBI). 

The program opened with preliminaries followed by messages from Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation, and Dr. Elbert M. Galas, University President. Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera, TBI Project Leader, delivered the rationale of the activity, setting the direction for the day’s sessions. 

Technical discussions included Customer Persona Identification and Needs Validation by Engr. Roy R. Flores and Dr. Christine Lourrine S. Tablatin, Business Model Canvass by Dr. Gloria M. Ducut, Pitching 101 by Dr. Agustin-Cera, and IP Management by Engr. Jeff G. Pereyras

The training also provided opportunities for interaction through open forums, where participants actively raised questions and shared insights with the speakers. The activity concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Gloria M. Ducut and a group photo opportunity. Overall, the training successfully achieved its objectives by equipping mentors with practical knowledge and skills on customer validation, business modeling, pitching, and intellectual property management, thereby strengthening their capacity to support innovators and entrepreneurs.
