Dagupan City, Pangasinan | February 16–18, 2026 — Pangasinan State University (PSU), through the DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubator (Aligwas TBI), actively participated in the 2026 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) – Region I, organized by the Department of Science and Technology Region I. The three-day celebration gathered higher education institutions, government agencies, industry partners, startups, and community stakeholders to promote science, technology, and innovation (STI) as key drivers of inclusive growth and sustainable development in the Ilocos Region.

Hosted in Dagupan City, the event featured technology exhibits, knowledge-sharing sessions, and stakeholder engagements that highlighted innovative solutions and research outputs addressing regional priorities and community needs.

Representing PSU’s innovation and incubation initiatives, the DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubator served as one of the featured technology exhibitors. The exhibit showcased the incubator’s comprehensive programs and services, including startup incubation, mentorship, business development assistance, and technology commercialization support. Through interactive displays, visual materials, and direct engagement with visitors, the Aligwas TBI team demonstrated how the University transforms research outputs and innovative ideas into viable enterprises that contribute to regional economic development.

The University’s participation reflects its strong institutional commitment to advancing innovation and entrepreneurship. Under the leadership of University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas and Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, PSU continues to strengthen research translation, industry collaboration, and technology-based enterprise development in Region I. Their support underscores the University’s strategic direction toward becoming a hub for innovation-driven growth.

The successful conduct of the exhibit was led by Aligwas TBI Project Leader Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera, together with staff members Ms. Monique C. Esguerra, Mr. John Alex B. Gomez, and Mr. Hanz Edrian J. Galvez. The team actively facilitated the booth, engaged stakeholders, and coordinated participation throughout the three-day event, fostering meaningful connections with students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and partner institutions.

Overall, PSU’s participation in RSTW 2026 enhanced the visibility of its growing innovation ecosystem and reaffirmed its commitment to building a dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable culture of innovation in the Ilocos Region.
