Bayambang, Pangasinan — A benchmarking engagement fostering innovation and institutional collaboration was recently conducted at Pangasinan State University (PSU) through its DOST-PSU ALIGWAS Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at the Aligwas TBI Hub, PSU Bayambang Campus, Bayambang.
The Campus Executive Director of Bayambang Campus, Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco welcomed a distinguished delegation from Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU), aimed at exploring best practices in technology business incubation, innovation management, and enterprise development initiatives. The visit served as a platform for meaningful exchange of ideas, strategies, and institutional experiences in strengthening research commercialization and startup support systems.
During the engagement, Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera, Project Leader of Aligwas TBI, presented the programs and initiatives of the DOST-PSU ALIGWAS TBI, highlighting its role in nurturing startups, supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and promoting an innovation-driven academic ecosystem.
The delegation also toured the PSU-DOST1 Food Innovation Center, where they gained insights into food product development, processing technologies, and technical support services designed to enhance local food enterprises and industry partnerships. The visit provided valuable perspectives on integrating food innovation and technology commercialization within the university framework.
The delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to the University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation (REI), Dr. Razeale G.
