𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐁𝐈 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠

The DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubator (TBI) successfully hosted its onboarding activity for a new cohort of startups via Zoom today, May 2, 2025. The session commenced with encouraging welcome remarks by Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to regional innovation in the Ilocos Region. Following this, the message of support coming from the Provincial Director of DOST – Pangasinan and Project Leader of SILLAG Region 1, Engr. Arnold C. Santos was delivered by the Innovation Head of SILLAG Region 1, Mr. Nestor Feland Panopio supporting the Aligwas Incubatees through the whole incubation program. Before starting the formal event, Dr. Gloria M. Ducut, Head of CBET and a TBI Core Member then explained the rationale of the activity, underscoring the importance of a structured onboarding process for setting expectations and fostering collaboration. Project Leader and TBI Head, Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera presented the Aligwas TBI Journey highlighting key milestones and successes, before detailing the comprehensive programs and services available to the startups, designed to accelerate their growth through various support mechanisms

Engr. Roy R. Flores, a TBI Core Member introduced the experienced mentors who will provide guidance and support to the new ventures. These mentors include Mr. Tzar C. Umang of Makerspace InnovHub along with Mr. Brian Matthew Mamaril, Mr. Aldrin Taccayan and Mr. Jayrald Malong, who will share their expertise in the Business Development and Growth, Mr. Edmundo Casulla of UPICT, Mr. Nestor Feland Panopio of IAMCollabSpace, Mr. Racky D. Doctor of Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corporation, Dr. Wilma De Vera and the whole team of Food Innovation Center, among others their expertise and relevant industry experience were highlighted, facilitating initial connections and setting the stage for productive mentorship relationships from the outset.
The virtual onboarding activity concluded with the new startups gaining a clear understanding of the Aligwas TBI’s mission, resources, and the supportive ecosystem they are now a part of in Pangasinan. Interactive Q&A sessions throughout the program facilitated engagement and addressed specific queries. This on boarding program has the total support of our University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas as this also advocates strong foundation for a collaborative and promising journey of the university. DOST-PSU Aligwas TBI looks forward to supporting the growth and success of these new entrepreneurial ventures.
