The Heirit PSU Aligwas Year 1 Quarter 2 Online Monitoring Meeting was convened via Zoom, hosted by the Department Of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).
The session brought together key members of the DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubation (TBI) team from Pangasinan State University (PSU), including the TBI Head/Project Leader, Dr. Roseanne Jane C. Agustin-Cera; TBI Core Members, Dr. Gloria M. Ducut, Engr. Jeff M. Pereyras, Engr. Roy R. Flores, Dr. Christine Lourrine Tablatin; Bayambang Campus Accountant, Ms. Ma. Jhonalyn J. Soriano; and TBI staff, Ms. Monique C. Esguerra, Mr. John Alex B. Gomez, and Mr. Hanz Edrian J. Galvez. Engr. Dolf Mirelle J. Montecillo, Project Technical Officer IV of DOST-RITTD, facilitated the monitoring.
Dr. Agustin-Cera commenced the meeting by presenting the Y1Q2 Accomplishment Report, which outlined the activities undertaken by the Aligwas TBI during the quarter. These activities included strategic planning sessions, awareness campaigns to promote the TBI, a call for incubatees, and the “Panagpili” selection process for choosing the first batch of incubatees. Additionally, the team engaged in Pamabiskeg ed Pakayari initiatives to enhance their skills and addressed unmet deliverables with appropriate mitigation plans. Challenges encountered during the quarter were discussed, and strategies were proposed to overcome these obstacles in the subsequent quarters.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the reaffirmation of support from PSU’s leadership. University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas emphasized the importance of nurturing innovative minds and expressed his commitment to the TBI initiative. Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI) Dr. Razeale G. Resultay also reiterated the university’s dedication to fostering an entrepreneurial culture and supporting the TBI’s objectives. Their leadership and unwavering support are instrumental in driving the success of the DOST-PSU Aligwas TBI.
