The month of April became a meaningful celebration of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit as the DOST-PSU Aligwas Technology Business Incubator successfully concluded its series of activities under the theme βFrom Heritage to Innovation: Empowering Filipino Technopreneurs.β
With overwhelming support and very satisfactory feedback from participants, stakeholders, industries, and audiences across the region, the entire series of events became a testament to the growing culture of innovation and technopreneurship fostered by Pangasinan State University through Aligwas TBI.
The DOST-PSU Aligwas TBI officially opened the month-long Call for Innovators: Aligwas Technopreneurship Open Innovation Challenge, inviting aspiring innovators, students, researchers, and problem-solvers to develop innovative solutions addressing current food system challenges. The initiative has already generated encouraging interest and active engagement from participants eager to contribute impactful and sustainable ideas.
With the growing enthusiasm and positive response from the innovation community, organizers have announced that exciting developments and additional opportunities related to the challenge will soon be unveiled.

ππππππ held last April 22, 2026 via zoom gathered positive responses from invited industries and stakeholders throughout the region. The event strengthened partnerships and opened opportunities for technology adoption and collaboration. More importantly, participating industries expressed confidence and reassurance knowing that Pangasinan State University, through Aligwas TBI, remains committed to supporting them throughout their entrepreneurial and innovation ventures.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the successful πͺπππππ 1 π«πππ π«ππ conducted last April 24, 2026 via zoom, which showcased the inspiring journeys and innovative pitches of startups under the ASENSO Incubation Program. Present during the pitching session were InnoBrik Labs, ScanEat, NutriWrap, and NutriFish, each presenting solutions shaped through mentorship, dedication, and innovation.
The event concluded with heartfelt congratulatory messages from the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay and the mentors who guided the startups throughout their incubation journey. Among the recognitions awarded, NutriFish received the Best Startup Pitch and Most Innovative Model awards, while NutriWrap earned the Most Market Potential recognition.
Serving as the culminating activity of the month-long celebrations for Filipino Food Month, Intellectual Property Month, and Innovation Month, the π°π· π¨ππππππππ & π¬ππππππππππππππ π΄πππ πππ π«ππππππππππ Webinar was successfully conducted last April 28, 2026 and streamed live via the Aligwas TBI Facebook Page.
The webinar featured Engr. Jeff Pereyras, Director of the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) of Pangasinan State University, who highlighted the importance of Intellectual Property Awareness in fostering innovation and protecting creative works. This was followed by Ms. Stephanie Joy De Vera, Trade Industry Development Specialist from the Department of Trade and Industry β Pangasinan, who shared valuable insights on developing an entrepreneurial mindset and cultivating innovation-driven opportunities.
The success of these initiatives would not have been possible without the unwavering support and visionary leadership of the University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas and the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay. The activity generated strong online engagement and attracted participants and viewers from various sectors, including MSMEs, students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs across the region, further strengthening the culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property awareness within the community.
